Dealing with politicized conflicts and their consequences requires specialized knowledge both in crisis intervention and in the prevention of its long-term effects. Professionals and volunteers in Ukraine are facing the challenge of having to open up a new field of work, often without having the opportunity to further their education in this field. The establishment of an expert psychological help network requires a continuous expansion of qualification measures, counseling and further education opportunities as well as the long-term networking and bundling of resources and qualifications.
The one-year project creates opportunities for knowledge transfer and exchange, training and networking. The project-accompanying publication ensures the sustainability of the project measures and enables the dissemination of the project results to the specialist public. The project will enable the participants to expand their expertise in the field of crisis intervention and prevention of traumatic long-term effects, to professionalize their treatment of traumatized people / groups and, if necessary, to train further multipliers. The three measures mentioned (professional exchange, training / networking and project-accompanying publication) are aimed at Ukrainian specialists working in the care of extremely traumatized people. Above all, it promotes volunteers who have provided indispensable support since the beginning of the fighting as a newcomer to the non-governmental sector and contributes to the transfer of knowledge and experience between Israel, Germany and Ukraine as well as in the field of psychosocial care that is implemented in Ukraine.
